Overview
SocialAnalyticsHub ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our platform at socialanalyticshub.app (the "Service"). The short version: we collect as little as possible, recent searches stay in your browser, we analyze public YouTube channel data today, and Reddit support is planned for a future release. We do not sell your information.
What data we collect
Data you provide
When you use the search or analysis features, you provide us with: • A YouTube channel URL or @handle (Reddit inputs will apply when that dashboard ships) • Optional contact information if you reach out to us via email or the contact form We do not require an account, login, or personal profile to use the Service.
Data we do NOT collect
We do not collect or store: • Your name, address, or personal identification unless you voluntarily email us • Payment information (the Service is currently free) • Browsing history outside our platform • Location data • Any biometric or sensitive personal data
Automatically collected data
Like most websites, our server may log basic technical information such as: • IP address (anonymized after session) • Browser type and version • Pages visited and timestamp This data is used solely for security monitoring and performance diagnostics. It is not linked to any personal profile and is not shared with third parties.
No cloud storage of your data
Session-only processing
Analysis inputs (such as a YouTube channel URL or Reddit subreddit name) are processed in-memory during your session and are not persisted to any database or cloud storage once your session ends. We do not build user profiles. We do not store your search history. When you close the browser tab, your session data is gone.
Local storage use
To improve your experience within a single session, we may use your browser's sessionStorage to temporarily hold pending analysis requests (e.g., a channel URL you entered before being redirected to the results page). This data lives entirely in your browser and is automatically deleted when your browser tab is closed. We do not read or transmit this data to our servers.
Third-party APIs and public data
Public data only
SocialAnalyticsHub exclusively analyses publicly available data. When you request analysis of a YouTube channel or Reddit community, we retrieve data that is already publicly accessible via: • YouTube Data API v3 (operated by Google LLC) • Reddit public APIs (operated by Reddit, Inc.) We do not access private accounts, private messages, or any data requiring user authentication on behalf of a third-party.
API data retention
Data retrieved from YouTube and Reddit APIs is used to generate your requested analysis and is not permanently stored on our servers. Results may be cached briefly (in-memory, server-side) for performance reasons during active sessions, but are not written to any persistent database.
Third-party privacy policies
The data we retrieve from third-party platforms is subject to their own privacy policies: • Google Privacy Policy: policies.google.com/privacy • Reddit Privacy Policy: www.reddit.com/policies/privacy-policy
Data sharing and selling
We do not sell your data
We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Full stop.
When we may share data
We may share information only in these limited circumstances: • To comply with a valid legal obligation, court order, or government request • To protect the rights, safety, or property of SocialAnalyticsHub or our users • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you would be notified) In all cases, we share only the minimum information necessary.
